Mouse in the House

  • 1/2 canned FYFGA pear
  • 2 cloves
  • yellow fruit leathers
  • 1 American cheese slice
  • 1 licorice whip
  1. Place a piece of lettuce on a plate. Use one pear half for the body.
  2. Poke cloves into the narrow end of the pear for eyes.
  3. Make ears by cutting 2 pieces of the fruit leathers into rounded shapes and stick them into the pear slightly above and to the side of the eyes.
  4. Cut 2-two inch long strips of cheese for the whiskers, cross them in the middle and place them underneath the mouse's nose. Use a long piece of licorice whip for the tail! Yummm!

 


Jazzy's Chocolate Banana Shake

Serves one. You can also use fresh or frozen strawberries. Two to three tablespoons of low-fat vanilla yogurt can also be added to make it even creamier.

 

  • 1 cup 1% low fat milk
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 ice cubes
  1. Peel the banana.
  2. Combine all ingredients in the blender, cover tightly and (ask a grown up to help here) blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy!

 


 

Jazzy's Homemade Fish Sticks

Serves 4 friendly felines
  • Non stick cooking spray
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 pound fish (halibut, orange roughy), cut in 1/2 wide strips
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 cups Wegmans Italian Classic Bread Crumbs
  • 1 1/2 cups Wegmans Italian Classics Sun RipenedTomato Sauce
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees farenheit.
  2. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray.
  3. Beat together the eggs and water.
  4. Coat the fish strips evenly with flour, dip in the egg mixture and coat with the bread crumbs.
  5. Place on the cooking sheet, spray with the cooking spray and bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Heat the tomato sauce and then use as a dip for the fish. Yummmm!
